Decision to Impact is a classroom simulation where students take the role of Chief Supply Chain Officer of a company. Across 6 rounds of real-world crises — supplier shortages, factory shutdowns, port congestion, tariff shocks, and demand surges — every decision moves 5 KPIs at the same time: budget, inventory, customers, suppliers, and sustainability. There is no single "right" answer. There are only better decisions, made under pressure, with incomplete information.

How It Teaches

Decision Science Foundation

Before the game, students learn how good decisions are made: trade-off thinking, deciding under uncertainty, and the cognitive biases that cost real supply chains millions. The reading material is built in — no lecture preparation needed.

Company & KPI Briefing

Each student takes the role of Chief Supply Chain Officer. They learn the company's operations, supply chain structure, and mission. Then they learn the 5 KPIs and how each one behaves in their industry. When the first crisis arrives, they know what is at stake and how to act.

6 Simulation Rounds

Crisis after crisis, students debate, decide, and live with the results of their choices. You guide a short debrief after every round — turning every decision, good or bad, into a teaching moment.

Turn the Simulation Data Into AI-Powered Assignments

One simulation session can produce weeks of teaching material.

After the session, assign the simulation data to your students — individually or in groups — each with a different task. For example: analyze the decision patterns across the rounds.
